La Terrièrre is set in its own secure grounds in peaceful Calvados ‘bocage’ countryside overlooking fields. It is accessed through its own private lane. Two other houses (also thatched) are situated approx 200m away. La Terrièrre is centrally located near Bures Les Monts in Lower Normandy (Basse Normandie) conveniently situated to visit all famous sites—Mont St Michel, Bayeux, Beaches etc are approx 40 minutes drive away. There are excellent road connections with the toll free A84/E401 motorway between Caen and Brittany only 5km away. The village of Campeaux is 2km east with shops, boulangerie and bar, the large town of Vire with many of the usual facilities including 3 large supermarkets and restaurants etc is 18km south. |
